Texas Gov. Greg Abbott awarded $23.25 million to Austin-based Silicon Labs on Wednesday as part of the state's Semiconductor Innovation Fund. According to Abbott's announcement, the money will support the tech company's research and development operations in Austin and the construction of a new research lab to develop a platform for integrating artificial intelligence.
