Authorities say the suspect in the car-ramming attack in Munich that injured 39 people appears to have had an Islamic extremist motive, but there’s no evidence that he was involved with any radical network.

A regional official says a man drove a car into a crowd in Munich in a suspected attack that has left almost 30 people wounded.

A mother and her two-year-old died due to their injuries. Prosecutors had said they believed the suspect had an "Islamist motive."
