NEW YORK -- Dan Hurley has made headlines this season with some egregious technical fouls -- some of which have cost his team games -- but he says his latest one was “calculated.” The UConn coach was T’d up with his team trailing in the first half of its Big East Tournament quarterfinal victory over Villanova at Madison Square Garden.

As UConn basketball's Dan Hurley received another technical foul in the Big East tourney win over Villanova, he said it was "calculated."

This led head coach Dan Hurley to declare that he would never again participate in a tournament format like that. UConn finished third in the Big East this year, which surprised many, but Rick Pitino had his team on a mission.
