The cruise terminal is a 20 minute drive from the downtown area but they provided a hop on hop off bus service. It is walkable but not that pleasant - be prepared for skyscrapers closing out the daylight in places. Would recommend the sightseeing bus. No sign of taxis but we arrived on a Sunday.

What kind of transportation is available from the cruise port?

taxi and buses. The port is right in downtown, all buses pass by there to everywhere. $2.50 per person with transfer included, yes, you can bring your luggage on the buss.
