Hi, I took the train from Ollantaytambo train station and the train ride was about 2 hours. I know that there are other train stations but the one from where the train departures are operating is from Ollantaytambo. Our guide told us that the bimodal is that you travel by bus from Huanchaq to Ollantaytambo from where you take the train down to KM 104 or Aguas Calientes. We did the Short Inca Trail and we took the train at (7:45am) in order to start our hike early and this time was perfect for us. I recommend you to stay in Ollantaytambo the night before you go to Machu Picchu so you just walk from your Ollantaytambo hotel to the train station (10 minutes) instead of starting your travel from Cusco city.
