We have come Skiing from San Diego, CA to Mt Rose for many years and loved it. So, when we learned of the opportunity to buy this home so close to the Ski Resort, we jumped at it. This is a one of a kind Home hidden in the Mountains above Lake Tahoe off the Mt Rose Hwy 431 with views to Reno, a short distance up an unpaved road about 200 yards from Main Hwy and only 1.5 miles to Mt Rose Ski Area. At about 7600 feet, there it is always nice temperature on the hot Reno Summer Days. Besides being a wonderful vintage home, the views are incredible. Did I say the Views from this home are incredible. Well it is certainly worth mentioning more than once. This house was built in 1950 by the first Ski Area Developer in all the Sierras. We are the proud new owners, and everyone tells us that this is the best built house anywhere around. We love it and want to share it. The first renters said they loved it and felt like they were in a museum. I would not call this a Luxury Home, but a very comfortable place to stay.
