The Maid Marian Way college site dates back to 1847 founded as The People's College, making it the oldest Further Education college in England. The Maid Marian Way campus was best known for its science department, life-sized aircraft cabin, as well as a dedicated photography studio. After the merger between Central College Nottingham and New College Nottinghan, Nottingham College and Nottingham City Council agreed a land swap agreement for the site as part of the construction of Nottingham College City Hub campus. The site today is operated by Bluecoat as a Sixth Form. Nottingham College is no longer affiliated with the Maid Marian Way site.
