The iconic Adams Building in the Lace Market is made up of a number of buildings. This former lace mill from the 1800's was once the centrepoint of the UK's world renowned lace manufacturing industry but now it's the Nottingham College Adams Building campus, home to a variety of courses including Art and Design, Fashion, Hair and Beauty, Foundation Learning, ESOL and some Higher Education courses. The Adams Building can be accessed from Stoney Street (front entrance) or St Mary's Gate (rear entrance) from the Lace Market Square. There is an additional entrance also on St Mary's Gate further up from the rear gate for staff and students with swipe card access.
