The IAMSTERDAM sign Welcomes you when you exit Schiphol airport. I also saw a smaller one in a building near Movenpick Hotel- on the water -when I exited a cruise ship.

Entrance fee is, payable at each Museum but no charge for the outside space where you have snacks drinks etc. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy your day. But tickets for the museums at tourist office before hand as queues at the museums are very long.All very worth a visit.
