By train from Amsterdam to Groningen will take a minimum 2:07 minutes. Their are different possibilities such as 2:24 and 2:42 minutes. Cost about 25 €. Enjoy the trip.

We stayed in Fantastic B&B Guesthouse Vannacht it was v central beautifully appointed with an incredibly generous breakfast - sadly not on trip advisor. Also Hampshire hotel was very nice and had amazing breakfasts, nice bar and walking distance of the town.
