it will depend on where you leave from,if you leave from manor marine jetty on a big boat,it may take 30mins. to 1 hour,depending on weather. if you ring for a water taxi you will get there in about 15 mins. from most parts. contact manormarines they will give you all the numbers to contact. enjoy devenish it is really seeped in history,take loads of photos good luck !!

There is a regular ferry every hour from 10 til 5 in July and August from Trory jetty (It's about 100 yards across to the island). The cost is £5 return for adults, £4 for children, £4 concession. In September, October and November there is a reduced service (google Devenish ferry) and then it stops for the winter.

They have a wonderful building not far from the dock with many interesting things to read about what life was like for the monks. A few of the ruins are nearer the dock and you can see most all of the structures from here also.
